AAA Authorization issue

I am using Tacacs+ on a Cisco 1700 router. When I try to get into the router and put my username and password, it says "Authorization Failed". What could be causing that message?

Are you using a tacacs+ server? Do you have the user name configured on the tacacs+ server? What does the configuration look like on the router?

There is the dreaded possibility that you may have locked yourself out.....Hopefully not. Let me know a little more detail....Plus, you could always use the trusty password recovery technique (as long as you have physical access) Erik Rudnick, CCIE No. 9545
