So I went to check OUR holiday set up (IPO R.7) but when opening vmpro client it said "error could not load call flow data base". So I looked on tek tips for a solution, someone had just re-installed vmpro, wallah.
Apparently you have to "export" first, saving the config is not the same I guess? So after re-installing I still can't see the call flows, modules, short codes ect... I do see groups, but nothing (leave, qued) on them.
Our Auto attendant is working as seems like the flow too, but I still can't see them on the vmpro client, it is online too.
Any genius' that haven't gone home for the weekend with some info would be greatly appreciated!

If you don't have a group programmed in VMPro then it will use the "Default start point"

When I 'log in' I can see all the groups it picks up from the IPO, but does NOT show the call flows, short codes or modules, even though they are working. Thats what has me baffled.

Do you hear the customer wavs or the ipo wavs?

Yep, all WAVs are there, all auto attendants, all user voicemails ect.. I can play, and press options in AA's menu trees, I can go to 'recordings' module, press 1 to record day, 2 for night, 3 for holiday ect...then also record them, but I just can't see them on the vmpro client. I'm online, logged in but do not see any of my 50 menu trees created. So if I wanted to change a condition or where option 3 transfer too, I couldn't.

Try to add a group if you select the group in VMPro tick all needed options like "Leave/Queued/Still Queued" see if it will popup all the callflows on that group.

Are you or did you use RDP on that server?
Then you might broke it! Use VMPro Client, VNC or temviewer like tools.

If this all won't work, make a backup (export not save as) copy all wave files you've recorded. Uninstall everything and then install it again. That the fastest thing to get it up and running again.

As a matter of fact I did use RDP. I'm using logmein now. I tried to do an export, but like I said there is nothing to export. Even though the AA's are playing the menus, I don't see the menu's on the call flow chart.
So remote desktop could have messed things up? I do have copies of the whole 'VM' folder but there isn't any .mdb file to 'import'. I have saved the config, but again, theres nothing there.
I'm baffled that things are working but I cannot see the modules or menu tree call flows?

Unfortunately that is the symptom of a corrupted VM database, that or modules you can see but cannot change, happens all the time with RDP. You will need to rebuild the modules from scratch unless you can find a backup somewhere, you can re-use .wavs but nothing else :)

Why ya gotta tell that? I was hoping someone could say, "Oh yeah, click this, click that, reboot, bam your done."
I have about 13 or so groups with menus, day & night, not sure how many modules, maybe 7-10 I think. If there is good news is, that at least its working and its OUR pbx and not a clients. But I know what I'll be doing over the holiday break. ;)

It is a bummer, Avaya did put out a tech bulletin years ago advising against RDP for this very reason, but nobody sits there reading those in reality, well not old ones anyway :)

Although we use RDP all the time.
I have warned all of my colleague's and i use it too and it goes well all the time (for about 6 months now)
I noticed that from release 6 and up that the vmpro client does not start when it is in use already.
We also use our own server where nobody else has access too.
It appears to be a problem when it is a shared server where multiple users have access too.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
