Known issue in several releases, including the most current 4.0 GA (4.0.18). There are patches to fix or re-record leaving a two second pause at beginning. The 3rd Quarter 4.0 maint release should be available very soon - that will have the fix.

I have a case open with Avaya and they gave me VMPro (21), but it didn't solve the problem. I was told that (23) is out there, but I don't know what it will fix if anything.
