Hi guys,

I have a SOE 3.0/59 and I need the receptionist phone to ring first then fallback to Auto Attendant. I found this thread that seemed like the answer thread940-875608 but there is no recordgreeting available in the feature list when I go to create the shortcode. In the help it lists it as an available feature, but when you use the dropdown when creating the shortcode its missing. Any thoughts why this is missing or how to go about this another way? Thanks

RecordGreeting" got renamed to "AutoAttendant" at some point. Otherwise just the same.

Thanks sizbut, unfortunately it stil didnt work, it just kept ringing and ringing at the receptionist.

I gots to say (I know its been said before) the embedded voicemail solutions sucks. I've convinced the boss to switch to the vm pro. I am hoping all this will be much better with it.

Thank you - embedded voicemail does suck - talk about going back to the old Partner mail. I have had multiple customers change to VM pro for the auto attend feature. Once I tweaked out the on board AA they all begged for VM Pro - get the 45 day free trial, or at least install the VM Pro and let it run without the license for two hours so they can get a trial run at it - I guarantee they buy it.

Hi All:
On IP Office w/ VMP; I would like to change the Auto.wav greeting remotely using a telephone dial in. I know I can record a greeting dialing into IP office on a phone and selecting a random mailbox (exp: x500) and recoring a second greeting and then renaming it auto.wav and moving it to the proper directory, but I don't have VPN access to the server. Is there anyway to record it directly over the phone?
THanks
Carolyn

So how does one utilize the 45 day trial? is it a seperate download, or does the regular vm pro download allow the trial period? there doesnt seem to be much info on the avaya site other than to say that there is one...

Use the standard software, downloaded or from Avaya CD. The Voicemail Pro doesn't get to know whether the license is a trial one or not - the IP Office simply tells it whether it has a valid license or not.
