will pentium 3/celeron motherboards work with a pentium 2 chip?

i ask because i hear that pentium 2 boards are not in production anymore.

No, well, maybe...
If it's slot 1, then the answer is maybe, if it's socket 370, then no.
If it's slot 1, you need to see if the voltages for your CPU are supported, some are, some are not.
If you're simply looking for a good P2 board, there are quite a few still available.

hmmm... too bad its in u.s. funds. thats like 130 canadian plus shipping. and yes, i am... wpg, mb. well, hopefully i can find a good deal somewhere if the board is actually fried. i still have to test a few things...
