we have a DC that we want to demote into a stand alone server

so we run dc promo, and then it goes through its thing, and it then says, "please give the account that has enteprise admin access for the domain"

we are using the correct account, but then it keeps saying the same thing, and that the account we tried doesnt work

wats going on?

thanks :)

This sounds like a username/password issue. Go to Active Directory Users and Computers, and lookup the account you are trying, make sure it is a member of Enterprise Admins.

If it isn't, you need to add the user to that group, or choose a different username.

If it is, reset the password for that user account.
