Im looking to do simple screen popping on a G3si and have the Mapd card etc. has anyone know of any good suppliers that offer a good solution, I have Datapoint and Convergent in mind (won't go to Avaya direct).

Does anyone have just screen popping in place that could send through some details eg configs of mapd card vectors etc (I presume it would be converse on (skill) passing CLI etc
many thanks in advance Jay

If it's bare screen pop thats being looked for, based on ANI/DNIS there is no real need for any changes to existing Vectors etc. A PC (or Unix box) connects to the MAP-D using the ASAI protocol, with a server application that allows other PC based applications to receive information on the incomming call (eg, DNIS, ANI, "extension receiving call" etc) the PC based application then strips the info that is required and passes this to an application running on the PC related to the "extension receiving call".

All of the "brains" for the above description resides on anciliary equipment and makes use of CentreVu CT, Callpath, or other ASAI interface server software & associated clients.

For more complicated applications where user input needs to be integrated with DNIS / ANI information you'll need IVR machines such as Conversant (or other branded server) to handle the automated user interaction, which can then make use of the ASAI server to work out which station the call has been delivered too and the associated PC / workstation.

There are probably other scenarios but these are two general ones that I've seen in action. Would be interested if there are any other approaches though.

On release 9 or higher you can also collect digits with the digital announcement board prompts instead of needing an IVR. So for a simple screen pop that requests a customer account number, the digits collected in the vector could be sent through the ASAI link as easily as the DNIS or ANI. Robert Harris
