A good drive and file list GUI bolt-on?

Does anybody know where I can find a good 'bolt-on' drive and file list selection form that I can use in my application?

is there an advantage using an API over using the FileDialog object ?

I find the APIs seem to be more stable and not prone to issues with different versions of Access and References.
