A Fatal Exception 0E has occurred........ pls help

I am receiving the following error :

A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C177DFBA in VXD LPT (01) + 0000206A

I have tried looking for solution but without any joy......

I use::: Win98se / IE6 / and dataswitch with two printers
on LPT1 deskjet & Laserjet

PLEASE HELP ....... I have also noticed that after a while the system hangs if it is idle and I can even get a task window by pressing "ctrl-Alt-Delete" ??????? messed up I am

Have you added any programs lately that might have loaded a TSR in your startup group (possible conflict). Try the following from microsoft.com knowledge base - Q192926.

Also disable your anti-virus software and see if that helps. McAfee sometimes causes these types of problems. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....."
