9i installation

hi

I am trying to install 9.2.01 db on windows 2003 server. I have downloaded the 3 zip files from oracle.com and copied to disk1,disk2 and disk3 folders. when i click setup.exe nothing is happening.
any othet files needs to be changed?

if i click the autorun.exe, then it comes up with a window, I click Install/Deinstall products. I get error message "Could not initialize the Java virtual machine. Program will exit!".

The same error comes even in windows 2000 server also.

please help.

thanks Dima. I renamed the symcjit.dll and also changed the JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS parameter value in the oraparam.ini file. still no luck.

Have you renamed ALL copies?
Have you launched setup.exe from \install\win32 on your local drive?

i have renames all copies of the .dll file.
i get the same error message of JVM when i run the \install\win32\setup.exe

install\win32\setup.exe

is not the same as

cd install\win32
setup.exe

BTW are you administrator of that box?

i loged into the box as administrator.

i executed the same exe under \install\win32 folder.
