98SE Upgrade Network Login failure

After a 98SE Upgrade, the system no longer logs onto the Peer to Peer network until you 'Logoff' one time. Then all is normal. Found No solutions.<br><br>Thanks

Just about everything, including reinstalling the network from scratch, deleting all User personality and password lists, searching the registry for LOGIN and associated keys, re'running setup (without deleting the system.dat/user.dat files) and finally just pulled the 357 out and blew one of em away.. another is just waiting for the trigger.

Here's the long version. Try changing the values on the last two registry entries. Remember, you may have to reboot.<br><br>Go to C:\Windows<br>Delete all .pwl files<br><br>Open system.ini<br>Delete all lines under <br>[Password Lists]<br><br>Go to ControlPanel&gt;Network<br>Choose Client for Microsoft Networks as Primary Login<br><br>Reboot<br><br>You should now get the login box.<br><br>If not try this registry key:<br>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\Logon<br>username -- delete whatever name is currently there<br><br>Not Yet?<br>Try<br>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\Logon<br>create a new binary value called MustBeValidated<br>give it a value of 01 00 00 00<br><br>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\current version\network\real mode net\autologon<br>Change the value from &quot;00 00 00 00&quot; to &quot;01 00 00 00&quot;. If that key is not there, create it and give it that value.<br><br>reghakr
