9840A SCSI Tapes Drives

If I have a L700 library with 9840A SCSI drives and I upgrade to a 9740/9741 library can I reuse these drives?

Are the 'sleds' compatible?

The sleds are not the same for an L-Series library to a 97xx library

Is there a way to purchase and convert the drives so that they will work?
