Greetings,
I have two sets of users using two different versions of Access. The rest of the 97 users will not be converted until August. I would have left the Access 97 database alone and let them both use it, but of course the 2000 users kept converting it, so the 97 users couldn't use it and there were multiple user issues. So I had to create two, one in each version. Then I created a SQL database that they both could link to. Thought that was the way to go. Worked great in 2000, kept getting ODBC call failed errors in 97. So I imported the tables back into Access 97 and linked the 2000 database to the 97 database. Another bad idea because as the day went by yesterday, the 2000 database became increasingly slow and eventually just locked up. I don't know what to do.
If anyone out there has any thoughts about a resolution for the above problems, I surely would appreciate it. I can't imagine fighting this until August. Thanks in advance.
