Is there a way to save the 9630 labels? We currently save the 4625 settings via the backup/restore menu item. Can not seem to find anything on the 9630 phones. Thanks.

Yes, setup an HTTP Server, that has a writeable directory, put the line in your "46xxsettings.txt" file:

SET BRURI
Make sure you have a "PhoneBackup" directory, on your HTTP Server (192.168.10.1 in this example). There is a lot more to it than this, depending on which webserver you are using (IIS, Apache, etc)

Depending on your phone software and PBX version the labels are actually saved to the PBX. You use the command "display button labels <extension>" to show what the PBX currently has.

As Mitch mentioned you can use a WebDAV server to backup you phone settings (including labels). I use this so I can modify contact lists on the server. Do a restore from the phone and your new contacts are in.

Third way is to use the new USB capability. Some neat capabilities here. Very good for a roaming profile type solution. Put the USB stick in the phone and get your contacts, personal settings, and phone automatically logs in with your credentials.
