Hey everyone -
I have a customer running CM 5.02 on an S8300 server in the US. They have an office in the UK that has moved to a new location. One of the users has a 9620 phone running FW3.0020. It worked fine in the old location, but the new one not so much. The user will pick up the phone and it will show "Connecting..." but never get a dial tone. I did a trace and there is a TCP Connect Failure. The phone does appear registered based on the Status Station.

We tried swapping phones, cables and switch ports, but no dice.

The customer says their network has opened all ports but I can only take their word for it.

Other IP phones, like 1616s do not seem to have this problem.

Anyone have an idea?

I've seen this once before. What happened was, the phone was downloading the lastest firmware and the user for some reason unplugged the phone in the middle of downloading firmware, just after it says "do not unplug phone". The phoned needed to be replaced, we did that and it was good to go.

Don't know if you have the same problem, but that is exactly what we were seeing on the phone "Connecting...
but nothing else.
