OK so a thread search didn't seem to turn up any related threads - I have a pair of 9608s returned to me from a remote office as "dead". Sure enough, I plug them into my PoE switch and -

nothing. Just a backlit empty screen. No boot messages, no Avaya logo, nada.

Any idea what's wrong and maybe how to kick them in the can to wake them up?

Thanks!

indeed only thing is to try leaving hem plugged in for a couple of hours see if they jump into life ... or try mute button clear # .... might be bad screens...... but i would reckon Joe is spot on with them now being expensive door stops

That's pretty much what I figured but wanted to be sure. Thanks folks.

Just an update - good call Monty, I plugged them in directly to the PoE switch last night and this morning they're up.

exellent shows that patience sometimes pays off... next advice get them on the latest firmware
