9608 phones with IPO500 V2

Hi Team,

9608 phones are not registering with IPO 500 V2.Where 16xx series phones are working fine.
IPO v2 SW version is 6.1(20)
9608 phone firmware is 6.0 service pack 4.1
Is it known issue?

Please advice.

Yes it is a known issue, and Avaya had placed the 9608's on a shipping freeze because of it. They are allowing special pricing for the 9621's at the same price of the 9608 due to this reason.

The 9608 should register fine.
There are other issue but not this.

I think the 6.0 firmware is for the CM, better is using the firmware included into the Admin CD set.

Never ever use other firmware then provided with the admin CD.

Phones are registered after IPO upgrade to SW 7.
