I am having issues with getting 9600 Series IP sets to get the latest firmware from the Avaya MV_IPTel server. The 4600 series phones grab the new firmware with no issues, but the 9600 phones never make an attempt to grab the new firmware and just boot up with the old firmware. Here is a copy of the Option 176 and Option 242 Scope Strings. DHCP is being served from a Windows 2003 server. CM 3.1.2 running on S8720 servers.

Data VLAN 16 176:
MCIPADD=10.241.5.26,10.241.5.27,10.241.5.28,MCPORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=10.240.5.149,L2QVLAN=2016,L2QAUD=5,L2QSIG=5,VLANTEST=0

Data VLAN 16 242:
MCIPADD=10.241.5.26,10.241.5.27,10.241.5.28,MCPORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=10.240.5.149,L2QVLAN=2016,L2QAUD=5,L2QSIG=5,VLANTEST=0

Voice VLAN 2016 176:
MCIPADD=10.241.5.26,10.241.5.27,10.241.5.28,MCPORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=10.240.5.149,L2QAUD=5,L2QSIG=5,VLANTEST=0

Voice VLAN 2016 242:
MCIPADD=10.241.5.26,10.241.5.27,10.241.5.28,MCPORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=10.240.5.149,L2QAUD=5,L2QSIG=5,VLANTEST=0

I figured this out. Our DHCP Admin did not save the upated 176 and 242 Scope Strings I gave him, so the phones were pointing back to the old server.
