has anyone got a 9508 or other digital set to dail correctly from the call log?
I know how to fix this on IP sets with the 46xxsettings.txt file. but I can not figure out how to get the phone to add a 9 and a 1 to dial out on a digital set. ( short of messing with incomming caller ID and adding the digits there...but that is not a good solution)

thanks for any suggestions
Dave

Why do you need to dial a 9 and a 1? Either way adding 91 to the line prefix should do it :)

9 for a dial access code and a 1 for long distance

the issue is if you add that there is messes with clid... witch is ok if that is the only answer.
the other issue is how caller id and local calls are made in this region

caller id is allways areacode exchange and number xxx-xxx-xxxx
most areas only dial 7 digits no 1 for local calls
but we need 1 for long distance
the gotcha is that most local exchanges will not accept 1 = area code to dial a local number it will error...
all of this makes dialing from call logs almost worthless.

prefixes for call log are set on the prefix settings of the trunk.
So login and go to the lines and setup the prefixes.

@ monty... it was less than 24 hours from the answer to your post...
while I apreaceate both amriddle01 adn Tlpeter's time and answers, I dont think I need to jump on to the forum on a weekend and give a Star in 30 minutes or less... this isnt FaceBook and I dont hand out "Likes"

To The others I truly do apreaceate your time... I did know about the prefix setting I was just looking for something a little more elegante than the way that works, thank you for assuring me that is the single setting to take care of this.
