9508 Phone on IPO R8 1

About to install an IPO with 100 9508 telephones.

I have heard some rumors that there are some issues with the 9508 phones.

Anyone had\ve any input on the 9508? Are they a good reliable phone?

They are a good phone, but being new hardware reliability is hard to judge, there is a firmware issue at the moment that can cause them to randomly freeze and they require a reboot to clear but a fix will be coming for this

The freezing issue has been fixed in 8.0.43 (I have several of them out there, and have not been locking up since the upgrade from earlier 8.0's- just make sure the sets get the new firmware from Manager after the upgrade)

8.0.44 is the newest R8, and that fixes the gain settings on ATM Trunks. I believe that it is also the only 8.0 Admin on Avaya download site. VM Pro 8.0.1011 fixes the "Save and Make Live" sending VM calls to the ?U recording.

I think the 95's are pretty nice sets (when working properly...)

I have had a freeze only once on 8.0.42 and it did happen again.
