Purchased a monitor/mouse/keyboard switchbox. When ever I switch from my win2000k to my win95 machine the mouse for the win95 machine does not work and I have to reboot the machine for it to work properly. I have updated the mouse drivers. Plugged the mouse in directly and it worked fine. The switch box is all windows version compatiable. Any ideas on this.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried booting to the 95 machine first (mouse switch set on this 95 machine) and switching to the 2K machine? If this works fine then there is sometime wrong with the mouse simulation it sends to the 95 machine. Since you don't seem to have a boot error (about the mouse) when these machines load it appears that the simulation works at first. Any interruption of the mouse connection (even for a second) will lose the mouse. When the switch is pressed it may have momentary loss of connection. This would mean that the switch is defective as it is not suppose to lose the connection...that's what these switches are all about.

HTH, Dana:))
