CM5.2.1

Reported Issue:
“The larger display phones (9408 model) seems to turn off its display if it is not used for a while. Other than the display the phone continues to work normally for inbound and outbound calls. The fix is to unplug the phone and plug it back in. The problem is not occurring on the smaller display phones (1408 model) with the paper printed desi-strips.”

Going onsite tomorrow to investigate. Anyone see this issue before?

dibthree,

I too have a site with 9404 and 9408 that are doing this. No resolution found yet. Have you had any luck?

Thanks,

Cocola123

Just found that this is a known bug addressed by a patch available through Avaya: 94xxT6.bin

Have to open a case to be offered the firmware bin file(s).

Good luck.

Still working it and will report back once I know we have a working solution.

I am working with Avaya Teir 4 testing a patch that is not yet publicly availavle.

It is annoying to have problems with digital phones. We use digital becasue they dont have these kinds of problems.

On a side note I am have the same issue with the same phones on IP Office systems. The IP Office uses the 9508 which is the same phone as the 9408 just diff4rent firmware.

Just saw your follow up post. Yes that is correct. We are testing that patch on a couple of phones now. Avaya only wants it put on phones actually having the issue.

I had this issue also and the firmware update 94xxT6.bin does fix the issue. I received the FW from our Business Partner.
