I have a 81c (CS1000) with 6 remote buildings. Each building has its on analog trunk used exclusivly for 911 calls that is controlled by the TGAR and TARG settings. This works fine but my question is is there a way to have a phone set up that will notify when a call is made from any of the buildings? I have looked at ESA but it seems to be restricted by only allowing for 1 ESA rout. In my case I have 6 different 911 routs due to the proximity of the buildings and the diffferent PSAP's that handle them.

do you have consoles? they can show when a route is busy.. that would tell you when any building used that single trunk. other then an alarm trigger from cdr, i can't see a way.

Take TGAR and TARG out..use ERL=Emergency Response Location.

So much easier to work with and you can use ld 24 ESA for 911 when a call is place.

Like SSJVirus says you would set up ESA for you number eg 911 then you would set up ERL's for your 6 Buildings the ERL can route the call to an RLI letting you route it however you want. You can also have an OSDN set against an ERL if you want to inform someone different for each building. ERL's are assigned to the sets either by manually entering aginst the ERL prompt of each set or by using the LIS Package if you have it.

Does setting up ERL's regiure making changes on each TN ? There are 6000 stations on this system.

Yes, you have to make change to each TN in all the 6 remote sites. Do you have TM? that would save you time, if not, currently what you have configure will not work.

Check this website, look at 911 calls from 3 sites on a single release 5.0 PBX.

Thank you all for the inforamtion. It is very helpful.

If each area is in different subnets it may be worth purchasing the LIS package and then you just set up the subnet and tell it what ERL/ECL that is assigned to it. Sets remain with no ERL set it is assigned through the subnet that it is in.
