8410 w/speaker using headset

How do you make a 8410 Handset phone that has a speaker, use an attached headset without turning on the speaker?

Unless you use a ATT 500a amplifier, you will always need to raise the handset or hit speaker phone. They make automatic handset lifters for us lazy people. Im so lazy I use a 500a....

you should be able to use a 500AM amplifier and just hit the on button to select the first line.
