We have switched to using Charter Cable for our PRI, they have added the 800 number to the PRI list, how can I create a different Auto Attendant to answer this line? I have not tried anything yet. We are on Avaya IP office version 3.2 running on a 412 unit. [ponder]

Sorry!!

I was playing with Emoticons!!

sotto79, that is a very loaded question and a bit beyond the point of this forum, you will be best served having this done by a trained tech :-)

How many digits does charter send? If it's four then the last 4 numbers of your 800 number cannot match any other numbers in your dial plan. You need to create a hunt group and in your incoming call route table point the 800 number to it. Then create your AA and make the hunt group its only member. When you create the AA it will create the associated extensions wich you use to record your greetings. That will get you started.

Non-Geo/800/0800 numbers are usually just associated with one of your DDI/DID's and cannot be distinguished from a normal call to that DDI/DID (not true with SIP) :-)

OK, so then you'd just pick a DID number.

Works the same in the US, the 800 number points to an unused DID which you can then route wherever you want via the IPO.
