I have (3) 8 x 24 Cabinets here and (3) Startalk Flash Voicemails But they all seem incompatible? But all 3 of the voicemail units work on 6 x 16 Dr5 with DS processors I have..

I've sold a customer an 8 x 24 with voicemail, but the voicemails won't work with these processors for some odd reason.. The (3) Processors all say DR5 DS on the top right of the cabinet and 2 of the 3 software cards have the DS label on them. Feature 983 just keeps saying inactive feature

Anybody have any suggestions or help. Do I need to upgrade the software? Thanks in advance.

Here are the system version numbers of 2 of the softwares under maitenence in programming

1. SP: 30MBG03 DR3 (this cartridge is labeled DS)
2. SP: 30EBF07
3. Hanging on wall at customer site and not working with the voicemail

need dr5 on 8x24

sell customer some old pc with windows 3.1 to smooth out vm issues

If the Cabinet says DR5 w/ DS and the software card says DS I'm baffled as to how Nortel labels crap as such when in actuality it is not DR5 w/ DS..

I purchased these processors thinking they were voicemail compatible based on the labelings.. guess I learned the labels don't mean anything on an 8 x 24. So I guess I just need to replace the software card? And the voicemail will hopefully come up

Thanks

The cabinet should not say DR5 because it can take lower software. But there is 2 different cabinets DS & non DS. The only time that I've seen the software say DS is if it was DR3 or DR4 because they were 2 different versions (DS & non DS). DR5 could go either way.
From the numbers you gave before it shows
1 = DR3 English/Spanish
2 = DR2 English/Spanish

As far as i remember the flash will come up on either. Ihe problem is (if it is not DS hardware and software)that it doesn't hang up when the caller finishes leaving his message until some long time out default.

The Flash needed DR5 to be compatible. More exact NT5B24CH/DH.
