8.5 backups complete but restoral "grayed out"

All indications are that Backup Exec 8.5 is completing successfully. 100% indication. Time to complete backup is correct. Number of bytes backed up are also correct.

When I attempt to restore, the job shows no files or directories.

Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

When you go into restore, does it show the correct date and time for the backup? Does it show anything at all when you try to expand it? If not, you could try loading the tape and cataloging it under device operations and see if that than recognises what's on it.

We had this problem a few days ago, the problem is fairly easy to resolve once you find the solution
