60 gig invisible

On my friends computer in my documents, it shows 66gig in size but checking each folder the total is 6 gig.
i clicked show hidden files and the same?
where is this 60 gig?

Try looking at the drive properties in My Computer.
 
it says 110 gig used of 120 when i can only find 50 gig used on the disk??
There is 60 gig in the my documents folder unaccounted for that i cant find?
 
Is your drive split into multiple partitions?
 
no, no partitions 120 gig running windows xp
 
Yes disk manager shows the disk full.
I started a defrag and that showed it full.
 
Did the dfolder extension not help show where the data resides?
 
didnt help, i reformatted and thats fixed it.
