This one has got me stumped. One of our users is experiencing the problem after his laptop was replaced. All the Notes settings on the new laptop have been compared with the old laptop, the only difference being the version (ie used to use 6.0, now uses 6.5.2)

Here's what I tried so far:

Under Location document:
Changed proxy settings (including settings under the "little beanie")
Format for messages addressed to internet addresses - MIME Format
Internet Browser - IE only/ IE and Notes/ Notes only

Under User Preferences:
Basics - all Java options checked
Mail/Internet - Internet Mail Format set to "HTML and Plain text", Multilingual Internet Mail set to "Use best match"

Under person document:
Format preference for incoming mail - None (ie blank)/ MIME format

Notes can reach the location when clicking on the red cross link, ie Internet Explorer opens the correct webpage.
perweb.nsf is located on the local machine.

I am starting to run out of ideas!!! Please help :(

Thank you

A couple of ideas:

Have you tried deleting perweb.nsf?

Are your proxy settings correct?

John

It said Windows 2000 or better, so I bought a Mac
