5GT ext after subscription?

After the subscription expires on a Netscreen 5GT extended;
Will the url blocking continue to work, just not get updated?

Yes, the feature should still work but your auto downloads will stop. Similar to the AV option.

By URL blocking do you mean the integrated SurfControl URL filtering? If so then this will not work when your license expires. The reason is the integrated SurfControl still needs to talk to a URL filtering server. The servers are operated by SurfControl. Integrated does not mean that we store all URLs that should be blocked on the box. This would be much too much data to store for a 5GT. It will continue to work for any URLs you may have cached but as soon as you reboot then the cache will empty and then nothing will be blocked.

Now if you are talking about URL filtering with your own SurfControl or Websense server then no license is even required for that in the first place so no issues there.
