56xx on a dt403

Hi All,

I have an ipoffice 403dt on firmware version 2.1. I need to install a 5602 ip phone onto this. What version firmware does the 56xx require or need. The phone sticks on discover. also what version of firmware can i safely take the 403 up to? there are no dt handsets on this unit, just analogues

firstly, do you have a vcm card?

2.1 and 56XX series won't work, the phone were only introduced from version 3.0

Without DT phones a 403DT will be upgradeable to 3.2 Don't forget the intermediate builds.

3.0DT does not support the 56xx series, the only chance you have is to use the 46xx one

hibroth, as he is not using the DT ports he can go up to 3.2 as Matt said, all that happens is the DT ports go dead/unuseable.

The only IP Phone you can use is a 4602 IP Phone on this softwarebuild/hardware configuration. You do need a VCM 5/10/20 or 30 module, you cannot use a VCM 4/8/16 module on this software.

If you have a DT 403 and go past 3.0 DO NOT use the POT ports on the control unit for FAX.

You will start getting strange faults where you will only send/receive 2 pages of a 5 page fax.
