I have local service provided by an ISDN T-1. Also have 800 service by a different non-isdn T-1. I am trying to get 56Kbps dial in data connections into our Intranet. Utilizing a 56k modem pool didn’t work. Max speed was 28.8 … After researching I was told to get 56Kbps you can only have 1 Digital to Analog conversion. So … since I do have digital lines coming into the switch I’m hoping I can put some kind PDM/TDM (whoops .... showing my age) onto a 2wire digital pack and avoid the last 2nd D/A.

Can anyone tell me if I’m on the right track ? Will this work and if so … what equipment do I need on our G3v6.1 PBX?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only way I know of the eliminate the D/A conversion is to setup a DS-1 board to a modem pool. Use the set type DS1FD. Assumes the modem pool can use a T-1. Hope this helps.

Thanks
Chris
