hello all, I have an ip office 500 v2 system ipo ver9, the phones are 5610 ip phones, they are getting ip addresses, phone programs no issues. scenario incoming caller handset conversation voice quality good on both sides, incoming side and outgoing side. but when incoming caller is placed on speaker person hears buzz and different times during the conversation. The person on the Avaya side receiving the call, callers voice drops out at random times. Any ideas how to fix, is there a qos settings on the 500 system or a way to trace to call to see what the issue is? I notice ipo has sysmonitor can that trace a call?

sysmonitor can trace a call setup but not the audio.
If it works fine using the handset then it is the phone which fails.
Are the phone on the correct software build?
Did you disable AGC on handsfree?
You can monitor QoS on the phone during a call, check that but I don't think that is a issue as it would infect all calls with handset as well.

I once had a service call for buzzing intermittently. It took me a while but I figured out that having a wireless or cell phone too close to the station would cause noise. When I asked the customer to move the phone a few feet away, problem stopped. To quote Barney Stinson, "True story..." ~ Mike

thx guys, my first thought was the phone itself, she said "its more than one phone" and they are old phones but one of the phones having the issue is a new phone.

its a remote site, will send her steps on checking the software build, and make sure no cell phones near the phone, are you saying turn of agc or leave it on?
what are the steps to monitor qos for a call?

It is the phone. There was an issue with the hook switch on 56xx phones some while ago..

not using "hook switch" device just the phone, then pressing the speaker button.
