Small Office 3.1(65) with 5610 loaded with version 2.3. The original address of the IPO was 220.20.0.18, the phone was set to use DHCP and I set the netmask to 255.255.255.0. The phone gets an address, I can ping it, but it cannot find the gateway. I tried setting the gateway both as the network's gateway and as the IPO.

Remebering taht some time ago I read about IPO disliking "non-standard" net masks, I changed IPO's address to 220.20.0.195, set the phone's to 220.20.0.194 and netmask to 255.255.255.224. This works fine.

Why is the 5610 acting so stubborn? I have the IPO connected to a 406 in an SCN with no problem, but the phone refuses to work with 220.20.0.x/255.255.255.0. Any ideas how I can make it work in a C Class?
