Does anyone know what programming a button "Call/ATTN" is or does?

Looking at your other thread, if you are trying to program an LDN for calls that dial 0, you need to have the 5340 programmed as a set type of 5340 Sub Attendant. To know what LDN to assign, you might need to look at form 8 to see what LDN numbers are for each LDN and then form 19 to see which LDNs are assigned to dial 0 calls.

Again, this all assumes that this is an SX-200.

Call/Attn programming is a button programming option in form 9 expand set, just trying to determine what it is for. I have 5340e subs, and LDN keys programmed on them for other answer options. Just trying to add a DSS button for dial "0", which programming won't allow, and it won't allow me to put the console's extension as DSS either, or an LDN designated "internal" at console LDN programming in form 8. So I was reaching for an alternative, and thought maybe the Call/Attn was it, but when programmed on a button it does nothing, does not even display on the phone like other button assignments do. Weird.

SX 200 ICP, yes.

So to clarify, are you trying to answer calls that ring the dial 0 destination (IE you want the console and the 5340 to ring) or are you trying to make a key on the 5340 to call the dial 0 destination/console?

If ringing, go to form 19 and see what your dial 0 extent number is. It is likely the extension number of an LDN that is listed in form 8, you can then use that LDN to assign to your console in form 7 (if you have a console or two) and you sub attendant 5340 in form 9.

Note that the dial 0 extension may not be set to an LDN it could be any extension so it just all depends on how you want it to ring.

If you don't have anything there, then go to form 8 and create a new LDN with an unused extension number, assign that extension number to the dial 0 destination on form 19, then assign that corresponding LDN to the consoles in form 7 and the sub attendants in form 9.

If you are just trying to make a button on the 5340 essentially dial 0 then you just need to use the speed dial key type, not DSS.
