5002 Supervisor II G lights green..doesn't work

I have a supervisor II G...basically a sup III with built in nffc.
All of the lights including system are green. I use hyperterminal to see startup and nothing....nothing shows up...but the lights are all green.

I have tried jumping J8...to start minimal catos...get nothing...lights still green.

I definitely have the 5002 with 175 watts..necessary for upservisor IIIs and II Gs. (Some only have 155 watts)

I have tried the control-break key when booting up...but that doesn't get me into the 5002.

Any ideas?

What are your Hyperterminal settings?

I just learned that some catalyst switches use a straight-through cable!!!!!!!.....not a rollover cable. I used a regular ethernet patch cord and I got in just fine!!
