From what I have gathered, a new 500 v2 chassis itself gets locked to the release of SD card you first plug into it.

Is there way to find of the release/version of 500 v2 chassis?

It gets locked to the release you make the first call in, SD cards are the same for all releases.

Actually, it locks when you press speaker or pick up the effin handpiece.
Watch the IPO bleat with wretched glee:

"PRN: First call has been made at this release. Sucked in dumbass. Wanna keep upgrading? You pay now!"

Don't plug handsets in until you either:
1) finish upgrading
2) threaten physical violence against colleagues if they so much as touch a phone while it's on the tech bench.

I've gone with option 2

Q: What do you get if you cross a creek and a brook?

A: wet.

Ok right but is there way to find of the release/version of 500 v2 chassis?

No which is stupid.
Avaya should not do this and use a runtime license lice the upgrade license.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

When you click on upgrade, there is field called 'Licensed'. Doesn't this show what release 500v2 chassis is licensed for?
