5.5 -> 2003 Public Folder Replication via One Way Trust from AD

On our migration to Active Directory, our University department is required to **not** upgrade our PDC and instead join an existing AD forest. With a one-way trust from AD, we are applying new AD user and group permissions to our current NT site. User names in AD are completely different than under NT. As far as Exchange, I don't believe we can join the existing 5.5 Exchange domain when we install 2003??

So my question is:

After installing Exchange 2003 into our AD domain/OU, how can we replicate public folders from our NT 5.5 domain to the new 2003 AD server domain?

I will use ExMerge to move our modest number of mailboxes.
