I'm hesitating to upgrade our firmware to 2.4 for the following reason, from the 46xx README:
[tt]
The first part of conversation might be clipped, depending on an unspecified network configuration. Internal software audio startup and shutdown delay issues are being worked.

Anyone run into this? I've got enough QOS issues now without this cropping up.....

I tried to upgrade one of my 4620's to FW2.4. When the phone boots up, it says "Registering...", but never registers. Have dial tone, but cannot place call. Went back to 2.3 and it is fine.

I couldn't get 2.4 to work also. For some reason it would always try to register with a 192.168.2.3 IP address, which makes no sence becuase my clan's are all 10.XXX.XXX.XXX. I am sticking with 2.3 for now.

I have had no issue's with 2.4. However I think it is a good idea to run a few phones in a "test" environment before pushing out any new firmware.

Enough variables exist in each of our environments that it is probably a good idea to test this before using it in production.

I ran 2.4 on a small group of phones for about two months (which I always do with any new phone code) and pushed it out a few weeks ago. I have not run into any showstopping issues. The one issue that has popped up is the phone will sit at the '46xxx TFTP' for a few minutes, but eventually will continue on normally. I'm willing to live with this.

Thanks everyone! I do plan a test rollout prior to general distribution, but that rather vague "unspecified network configuration" had me worried.
