Equipment rundown. S8710, Comm mgr 2.1, outer offices have a mix between IP600's, S8300's. But what is crazy is I can dial inside my main office no problems, I can dial between offices sometimes goes through just fine. Sometimes the phone resets, it is happening more frequently now too. I cannot track it down to any one Medpro, trunk group, or anything. Avaya has been inside and they are scratching their heads right now. Have worked fine for ever and then this started on Thursday. Clan's Medpro's and phones are all on the latest firmware, rebooted every piece of equipment Friday night. Nothing seems to work. Any thoughts. We haven't added anything to the network or made any changes in the system recently, that I can find or have been told of.

Thanks,
Ed

update for this in case anyone else has this in the future. We had imported translations from one of our outer offices to upgrade a stand alone 8300 to a LSP. Well I guess it had different signaling group settings than the rest of our IP600's that were still in in operation. We had difficulties with tie trunks between locations with this switch when in first went in so I just directed all traffic to it from our main office which which had the 8710. Everything was fine. Well after the import things were fine for a almost a month (maybe a couple of weeks) but then all of the sudden my phones started rebooting like crazy. Ended up being direct ip to ip connection on were set to yes on the tie trunks and signaling groups and tie trunks don't like that. Took forever to find it, and the time between the import and the actual rebooting made it difficult to track down the problem. just a heads up to those who might run into this in the future. I guess it just took a little time for the configs to get hosed up on the 4612's and then they couldn't handle it anymore and rebooted. When we would perform the hold R-E-S-E-T on the phones the problem would go away and only had a couple of return offenders untill we found the problem.
