I have a S8300 running CM 3.1.4.

It's my understanding that the 4610SW IP phone has been discontinued. One person told us that the 5610SW is the replacement however that appears to be an IP Office only phone. If this is true, what do I replace a 4610 with?

More details: I tried connecting a 5610 on a port that works fine with a 4610 and, after entering the extension and password I got "System Incompatibility".

In CM I don't have a station type 5610 so I used 4610 hoping the phone functioned that same. If there's just a setup trick I'm missing I'm good with that also.

No, the 5610 is a 4610 but crippled to not work with CM. The 5610 is only supposed to work with IP office

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

all of the 46XX IP phones have been EOL (End Of LIfed), you shuold be able to find them on the "secondary" market (used/refurbished). Other than that, you have the newer 96XX series, and the 16XX series.

You want to use 9600 series phones.

I tried to call you, I thought your ext. is 3634. It's been a while.

That's what I was looking for. We're looking into the 9600's. Thanks.
