4104 error

Does anyone know how to fix a printing error 4104. I am operating a dell c600 with windows 2000

Could please tell me if you are printing on the network, what kind of printer, software you were printing out of, and
type of file.

mr fixit: I am printing on a network and have microsoft 2000 professional on my machine. The printer is a Hewlett Packard Laserjet 4MV. I was trying to view a student information system called JMC. I work at a school and on my desktop machine I can view a report from this software and then print it ok. On my laptop, I can't bring up a report. Usually i can view the report when i choose to print. It sends me directly to the print option and shows the 4104 printing error. any ideas?

Can you send a test print? The JMC, do you have to configure it to print to a specific printer?

I dont have to print to a certain printer but i can choose one from our network...it did the same thing for a different printer as well

Have you added this printer you are wanting to print to your workstation? I know I am just asking?

yes i have added this printer...thanks for asking....i wish it would be that simple
