I have just aquired an 403 and was wondering what is the highest level of firmware I can take it to and what DT handsets will still work. Or am I better going to IP sets and moving to 3.2.59.
I just want to be able to give the best user experience. I have a vcm 5 so i guess ip phones will allow me to provide multi line selection and progammable buttons. Seems like you have answered my question really. I just need to get my hands on some resonably priced ip phones now. Any suggestions?
Depending on how many phones you have it may be worth taking the jump and upgradin to an IP500. The 17XX phones are apparently reasonably priced (no firm prices yet) and will be released in a couple of months.
After all you will only get upto 3.2 and when v5.0 comes out (early next year????) your kit will not be covered by Avaya anymore.
If you are thinking about upgrading, get a price from a Business Partner for IP phones on what you have now and what it would be to go upto the latest IP500 H/W
