I'm attempting to run an existing networked HP 4000n from a Unix server which can successfully send print jobs to another networked HP450N. I used identical command strings and can ping the 4000n. The 4000n will print from other computers on the network and the print jobs appear to be leaving my Unix box ok with no jobs left in the queue and lpstat indicating the 4000n is ready and willing, but alas, no activity from the printer.
