Hello All,
I have been playing with LWC to turn on and off the MWI of my Lucent 8410D phones hanging off my Definity g3v6 system and it works great. I want to script asterisk to use that feature to let my users know they have voicemail. This is not critical because I plan on having voicemail to email. However, it would make it a more comfortable transition for those who like blinky lights. Anyhow, when I dial *4 then extension from anywhere on the definity, it turns on the light. When I dial *4 from Asterisk I get the FAC dial tone, but when I dial the 4 digit extension I get a fast busy instead of the pretty light. I figure that must just be a security feature somewhere. I tried changing the COR FRL and looked at all the settings in the trunk group that may have something to do with it, but I found nothing seemed to work. I am not worried about security on the Definity anymore because it is now hidden behind Asterisk and will soon be only for outbound calls from some extensions. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks,
