We have a 3Com switch with 2 network sources to our main building. The 2 sources are an IR link and an RF link. The IR link goes into our switch via a fiber connection and the IR link uses ethernet. The problem is that when our IR link signal goes out the spanning option which is enabled does not switch over to the RF link. We have to physically unplug the fiber connections to have the RF take over. Are there any settings to fix this on the 3Com switch or is there a better way to do this with more intelligence involved?
