I have a Dual boot PC,with Win 98 Installed first.
In Win98 The 3C509 (on ISA) works fine and I can access the network.
However Every time I install Redhat It skips the network part and get a only the local adapter for the system. I tried adding it in Linuxconfig but it still could not find it.
I have tried both 6.2 and 7.0 and still did not work.
I remmeber it worked before. (Last time I installed Redhat ). The only thing changed is
1. I fdisk and installed Win98 first (2G partition, leaving 4G for Linux)
2. My LAN cable used to be a cross-over, now it is connected to hub (not with the cross over cable of course).
I have also tried to turn on and off PnP and also changed the card to another slot, still no luck.
I am getting getting tired of trying different configs and reinstalling, so it anyone knows what is going on and can help. I would greatly appriciate it.
Thanks
