We are installing a point to point DS3 between two facilities in separate states. Each facility has a 3660 with internal DS3 CSU/DSU.
Should we provide clocking in a master slave configuration, or rely upon the service provider, (SBC in this situation), to provide clocking on both ends?
What is the norm?
What are the issues with doing it either way?

If its a P2P, the headend should be the master.. Because in theory its a clear channel link to you..

In a frame-relay scenario thats different, because you are technically the DCE device then.. The DTE would be the frame switch.
