Anyone else having problems with the *30 Shortcode on 7.0.23? Worked fine on 7.0.12. Thinking about downgrading back.

Problem is: Dial *30 from a non-ringing phone and the display briefly shows the incoming call information (HG name and caller ID) but then immediately goes away and continues to ring on the original group of phones.

This feature has worked flawless on all prior releases, including 7.0.12.

have you tried deleting the SC and re-creating it?

Had one of my Engineers check this on a new install last night & he says all working fine.

Which is a relief.

Indeed, you never what is broken with a maintenance release :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I think that CallPickupAny should be deleted anyway - it is too powerful for systems above about 4 extensions. You should define Pick up groupsand use them instead

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Well you can always delete it manually or reprogram to call_Pickup_Members. IIRC with no data it will pick up members of the users group(s) only. if it is likely to cause problems

^^^ agree with Matt. PickupAny means you have no idea which call you are getting. Could be a fax or the Bosses DDI if they have been ringing longer than the call you can hear.

I deleted and re-created the shortcode, no change.
I tried the *32* short code, same problem.

I downgraded the system back to 7.0.12 and all works fine.

what processor are you using?
maybe it plays into the equation if you use a 412 or a 500V1 to test.

IPO 500v1.

What happens when I dial the SC *30 or *32* is you very briefly see the call show up on the screen of the phone you dial the SC at, but the call does not connect and continues to ring at the original destination.

It's must be something in the upgrade firmware, since downgrading solved the problem.

I have another theory, I think the new firmware corrupts very easily with simple config changes, on my dem kit I have seen the system reboot after calling a vm module that transfers to a group, I opened a .BAK file (so before the corruption took place) and re made the change but this time it doesn't reboot and works fine, I have had to do that 3 or 4 times now with just some minor programming changes and each time loading a pre change backup and re doing fixes it :)

DavidCT, what phones do you use?

Same here ... it's happens with combinaton of SIP trunk and 96XX's.

For call pickups I use User BLF buttons.

Downgrading to 7.0.12 fixes the problem.

Yep, we are using SIP trunks.

Just tested another scenario:

Send call to VM Pro auto attendant first, then dial extension. *30 works to answer that call from a non-ringing phone.

During the day calls ring a HG and then no-answer to an auto attendant. At night the same HG goes direct to auto-attendant.
