3 phones use the same extension

Hello Everyone,

I am using a Meridian Option 11c we currently have 2 phone M2616 handsets that use extension 3313 we need to add a third to use the same DN, is this possible?

What tha best way to do this?

yes, the limit was 31 at one time and that may have changed. just build the set as new and add the scr/mcr key

Currently the handset is DN 3312, do i delete the phone and create it from scratch or can i just modify the DN?

You could have 31 handset's using 1 DN?!!!

I think i mixed you up,

All we want is to have 3 phone that are all DN 3313
two keys on each phone.

I guess we just make sure all 3 TN's have the same keys right?

You can use MCR or SCR, it depends if you only want 1 call at a time then use SCR but if you want to receive more than 1 call at a time , then use MCR

since the posted set is an mcr just make the new phone a copy of that phone..

Would you need to use a different dn for 0? Considering the set is built already just go to LD 11. At REQ CHG, TYPE Set type(2616,3904 etc), TN tn number, ECHG YES, ITEM KEY AA MCR XXXX, (AA key number, XXXX extension) then return. this brings back to key if you are done with the changes hit return until the request prompt. No sense in outing and copy as long as set is not an ACD set, and in that case out the set and new.

not if they want the same dn, if you build it new, you can make it a used mcr, if you copy it has to be unique then needs tp be changed

What exactly is it you want to do, do you want all 3 phones to look the same or do you just want each phone to have it's own Key 0 different and have key's 1, 2, 3 to have the same nunmber.

All three phone needs to be identical. DN 3313
If one person picks up a line, the other 2 phone must be able to pick up if someone else calls 3313 .

In your example TNB above you are using DN 3303, are all 3 phone the same as this one??

Do you just want to add 3313 to all 3 phones? If so just pick any Key and add

ie: KEY 2 MCR 3313 on each phone

yes, mcr's are made to have several people answer the same line, sort of a poor man's acd

No, if you want Key 0 and 1 to be on all 3 phones than you would make each phone
